about
Paul Hancock and Patricia Solar started the Khom Loy project in 2002. Since that
time the Khom Loy project has worked under the gracious cooperation of the
Mirror Art Group Foundation and the Foundation for an Evolving Society. On
September 21st, 2006 the Khom Loy project officially received its own Thai
foundation status as the Khom Loy Development Foundation. We work on projects
assisting the hill tribe communities based in Northern Thailand. We are currently
working on projects in the fields of agriculture, education and
handicrafts.
our founders
Paul Hancock
studied law at Oxford before qualifying as a solicitor in the UK and
acquiring an MBA from INSEAD Business School, Fountainebleu, France. He
worked as a lawyer, management consultant and property entrepreneur
before retiring. When he's not up to his knees in water buffalo
doo-doo, he likes climbing mountains and playing musical instruments
with more enthusiasm than competence.
Patricia Solar
is originally from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and has an MBA from
Sheffield Hallam University, and worked as a marketing consultant and
